The pre-season means nothing whether it is about winning or losing. Granted, they have played better on the offense but the defense is making too many errors. They are going to be competitive but not to the point of being a threat to the AFC North title.

They must win the first two games of the regular season. If they do not, which is very possible, it could mean more of a disaster and possibly having another embarrassing season. Cleveland has been used to it and has seen it time and time again.

Coach Mangini is under a lot of pressure to show progress or be gone. The worst part could be that the next coach is even worse. I'll be honest, if they fired him, it could be someone that has a losing record, which seems to be a common theme. Cleveland seems to like those type of coaches or get rookie coaches as well.

A 7-9 record would be more respectable than anything below that. Of course, if it is higher, then that is even better. One unusual stat is that it seems in odd years Mangini seems to have a better record for what it's worth. It means nothing but interesting nonetheless.

It's time for them to stop acting like enhancement talent and start playing like they want to win. If they can do that and that's a big if,
