I'm taking a break right now from it as there really isn't much NFL activity in regards to games. Perhaps after the draft, I could have a better perspective on it. If anyone would want to apply, then by all means do so. It'd help keep it active.

After the entire season, there are some final thoughts overall when it comes to the season and the post-season. Without question, there have been some upsets but it's time for some team awards. This will be my last blog post for a few months. I'll wait for the next season.

Upset of the Year: Cleveland Browns defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers. Who would have imagined that one happening?

Team of the Year: New Orleans Saints. They were marching and took care of business.

Most Surprising Team: Cincinnati Bengals. They went on to take the division by force and had a 6-0 mark against everyone in the division.

Most Disappointing Team: Denver Broncos. This is a team that should have been a playoff team but fell apart big time.

Best Playoff Team: New Orleans Saints. They won the Super Bowl so they were the best that season.

Worst Playoff Team: San Diego Chargers. How do you win 11 in a row only to look foolish against the Jets in the playoffs?

Does the Colts lost put them in a category with the Atlanta Braves in MLB: In a way, it does because they make the playoffs consistently and only have one Super Bowl to show for it much like the Braves when it came to the post-season only having one World Series title to show for it.

Only time will tell what will be the next season. Yet another NFL season has been completed.

And then there were four....

February 1st 2010 18:14
This has to be a look at now four teams in general that have never been to the Super Bowl. The question is going to be who will be next on the list. It seems like it is possible but as far as winning it goes, that's another story. It comes down to who is going to be willing to put it together to finally get there and then see if they can finally pull it off. For what it is worth, 3 AFC teams have yet to make it and 1 NFC so it could be possible to have a first time match up with two first time teams.

Cleveland Browns-If you consider it one entity, they've never done it and have eight league titles and this was before the Super Bowl. They've had misery and could be said that they have been destined to be a failure franchise. The last four games may have shown some possible improvement but it will take more than that. They need to come out of the gate a lot stronger and more dangerous than ever.

Jacksonville Jaguars had a few chances to make it to the Super Bowl but have come up short. In order for that, they are going to have to hope that both the Titans and Colts start declining because they seem to be in a division that would be considered mission impossible.

Houston Texans hasn't been around long and there really isn't much to say. It can happen possibly but who knows when.

Detroit Lions really need to get their act together. They haven't had a good team in years and don't seem to have ownership that desires a championship. If they actually made it, the NFC would be complete in the sense of having every team make it to the Super Bowl at least once.

These are the four that haven't made it but the question is who will be next and will they win it all? Only time will tell.
