EAGLES SUE OWENS FOR BONUS MONEY
April 29th 2008 12:57
We all know that Terrell Owens is not a Philadelphia Eagle anymore. But even after a few years have passed, they still wont let him off that easy. The Philadelphia Eagles have filed a lawsuit in U.S. District court against Terrell Owens on Monday. Owens has previously lost in arbitration earlier this year. Owens had to pay the Eagles 1.7 million dollars and now they want the other $769,117. Now before you say they Eagles are being cheap, keep in mind that this is bonus money that T.O. was payed to be a Eagles wide receiver for the length of his contract which he did not do. But it seems like the eagles have been able to put this behind them and look to the future. Why bring all of this up again and have the T.O. terror renewed? I am not sure if i agree with what they are doing here. To regular people like us, 800,000 is a whole lot of money. But to the Eagles this is chump change. I hate what T.O. did to the Eagles, but doing things like this is not helping their fans, players, and coaches get by this. Not to mention T.O. could pay this money 15 times over and still be rich beyond our wildest dreams. I'm not sure if this was the right move. Seems like a spite move to me.
