Is Al Davis the Problem?
October 9th 2008 00:36
As you all know Al Davis has let go yet another coach. He seems to not want to stick with anyone for a period of time and when there is a panic, he goes on and starts saying he's going to fire the coach. This time it was Kiffen. By no means was he a saint, but he probably will go out and possibly go into a lawsuit with Al Davis and the Raiders for the money owed. I do not know what will happen with this as I have not followed it closely.
It sure does seem like that. He has yet to show that he has any form of patience in regards to the direction of the Raiders. After that Super Bowl loss to the Bucs, the team has gone on a downward spiral and has yet to fully recover from it.
For the Raiders franchise, it would be best for him to sell the team to someone. I do not know who could take over but at this point, would it matter anymore? It is a shame to see that happen but I guess some people just don't know when it is time to go.
I will have more thoughts on this another time. I'm still deciding whether he is the problem or not.
