NFL DRAFT
April 27th 2008 18:38
So the NFL draft was this weekend. There was a lot of big names and a whole lot of speculation surrounding trades and things like that. But the 6 players in the green room were the first 6 to go. Not like last year when Brady Quinn fell to number 22 over all. Even so, it was a very exciting 1st day of the draft. There was a lot of traded picks and a lot of teams filled their needs. I would have to say that Kansas city had the best over all first round. They addressed the organizations main needs and put their best foot forward. Now don't expect them to make a run this up coming year but when all is said and done I believe they picked up some quality players. Glenn Dorsey falling to number 5 overall must have been a dream come true. He is going to be a force at the next level. Lets just hope he stays healthy. Then with the number 15 overall pick they drafted Branden Albert. The 6 '6 309 pound highly regarded offensive guard our of Virginia to try and solidify that offensive line and open up wholes for running back Larry Johnson. This is a good pick I think. This is a solid guy who also started all 37 games at Virginia during his 3 year career there. That is pretty impressive. So thats my evaluation of the team having the best draft as of right now. Now lets see who can strike lightening in the second round!
