NFL Week 16 Preview – NFC v NFC
The following is a preview of games played between NFC teams
New Orleans Saints (6-8) at Dallas Cowboys (8-6)
The Saints run at the playoffs seems to have run out of gas, they’ve dropped 3 of their last 5 and with 8 loses are a long shot. Dallas has to keep winning to try to capture the NFC East and they’ll have to take the top off the Saints deadly passing attack to stand a chance. If they can get DeMarco Murray going to control the clock and not get behind, they will defend their grand home field and setup a big showdown in Washington for the season finale.
St. Louis Rams (6-7-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-8)
The Buccaneers have lost 4 seem to be finding ways to beat themselves as well as being pushed around on the field. There just aren't enough Ronde Barbers on that team to teach the young players the way of the NFL. The Rams are on the cusp of contention, but still are a season or two away from consistent winning in this league. But Jeff Fisher has done a fantastic job in his first year of rebuilding this franchise.
Chicago Bears (8-6) at Arizona Cardinals (5-9)
The Bears have lost 4 of their last 5 and are not looking like a playoff team. Their defense still looks good but the offense hasn't been able to help them out at all. The Cardinals are a great bet in this game after finally ending their terrible 9 game losing streak. They will be looking to end this lost season on a high note and want to spoil some other teams' seasons too.
